FINAL HEREFORD SPRING BULL SALE
Due to a surge in demand for Hereford Bulls in recent weeks just under half the bulls catalogued were absent from the Society's final spring bull sale at Kilmallock. Breeders have been selling direct from farm many to repeat customers.
The days Champion Cappadineen Rebock 8 th exhibited by Bill Deane of Dunmanway, Co. Cork sired by Knockmountagh Napoleon out of Rorardstown Jewel sold at 2,000 to Robert L'Estrange of Killucan, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

& Society President Mrs Kathleen Tynan The Reserve Champion Ballyaville Wolf by Gageboro Burly out of a homebred dam by Drumakeenan Do-A-Lot was exhibited by Joe Deverell, Geashill, Co. Offaly and sold at 1,900 to John Reidy of Meadstown, Kildorrery, Co. Cork .

Society President Mrs. Kathleen Tynan exhibited the second prize winner to the Champion Breaney Extra, sired by Freetown Gorbachev out of Breaney Trudy he sold to William Mulcahy of Herbertstown, Co. Limerick at 2,000.
Overall the standard quality of animals was not as high as at earlier sales with many of the older stronger bulls already sold. This was reflected in the sale average of 1,775 down 100 on the April sale at the same venue. Overall clearance 72%.
