Kilmallock Autumn Sales 2004
HEREFORD STRONG DEMAND AT KILMALLOCK 22nd OCTOBER, 2004 The Final Autumn Hereford sale of the season at Kilmallock met strong demand particularly from dairy farmers and some new entrants to the Hereford Prime Scheme. The quality of bulls forward was not as good as at Roscommon the previous week and this was reflected in the sale average of 1,800 as against 2,040. The days Champion Clondrina 688 th a grandson of Bishophill General by Gerry Donnellys stock sire Rathcor Matty. He sold at a somewhat disappointing 2,400 to Patsy Considine, Ardacra, Liscannor, Co. Clare. Other principal prices included Sean Shiels Reserve Champion Coolnacritta Ben by Breaney Sam 2,000 to Robert McCarthy, Farnivane, Bandon. JJ Cantys Portnob Marvel by Rathregan Noble Robin at 2,000 to John Ryan, Hospital, Co. Limerick. Bill Deans Cappadineen Reebock 3 rd by Corlismore Reebock to Michael Molloy, Belmont while Trevor Dudley whose herd was so successful at Roscommon sold Kilsunny Admiral and Kilsunny Archie both by stock bull Glaslough Ruskin at 2,000 and 1,900 to Jerome Dee, Ballylongford and Arthur O'Leary, Ballyagran, Kilmallock.
