Kilmallock - October 2006 Herefords sell to 2950 Good demand for Herefords continued at the Hereford Society's sale at Kilmallock. The overall quality forward was not as good as at Roscommon ten days earlier and this was reflected in the overall average. The days top price was paid for Kilbraugh Joe by Ardnagross Alex exhibited by Loughlin Campion of Grange Thurles. The purchaser was John Ryan of Hospital Co Limerick. Other principal prices included 2000 paid for Ballyaville Reaper by Gageboro Burly from the Deverell Family Geashill Co Offaly purchased by Declan Hurley Teadies Lowwer Enniskeane Co Cork. Pat Cunningham of Broadford Co Limerick also paid 2000 to purchase Kilsunny Charlie by Churchill Storm bred by Trevor Dudley of Dovea Thurles. Carrigroe Ambassador by Haven Bulldozer from the herd of Frank and John Applebe Carrigroe Clonakilty sold at 1900 to John Moran of Rathkeale. Michael Meehan of Ardfert paid a further 1900 to secure Ballingrawn Rocket by Killogenehan Sadam bred by Robbie Powell of Toomevara. Overall average 1790 with an 85% clearance.
