Nenagh May 2008 - Steady Demand for Hereford
Demand for Hereford Bulls at Nenagh remained steady with many of the stronger aged bulls already sold.

Champion Balleen Impact with Geoffrey Brennan and Jon Regan (Judge)
The day's Champion Balleen Impact was exhibited by Tom & Geoffrey Brennan, Freshford. A full brother to Balleen Breezer 5 th , Champion at Kilkenny in March last year, he sold at €3000 to Tim Minogue of Killaloe, Co. Clare. Out of Balleen Miss Tribute by the Australian Sire Centennial Tribute, he was sired by Balleen Breezer. The Reserve Champion Caulry 1 Flashback sired by the homebred Caulry 1 Donatello, a Churchill Storm son is out of Lislaughtin Vera by CH 3223 Visa and exhibited by Tom & Anselm Fitzgerald, Mount Temple , Moate. The purchaser at €2200 was Joe Hennessey, Borrisoleigh, Thurles.

Temple Fort 1 Storm, a Churchill Storm son out of Temple Fort 1 Lady by Ballyaville Nairn exhibited by J.J. Farrell, Trillick, Longford, sold at €2000 to Nigel Heatrick, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan.
Local breeder Loughlin Campion of Grange, Thurles exhibited Killbraughan Bengy by herdsire Kilbraughan Bill by Arnagross Alex out of Graigue Sunset and sold at €1850 to Michael Quinn, Ballinware, Nenagh.
Brileigh 1 Frank from Kathleen Tynan, Ardagh, Co.Longford also sold at €1850 to Sean Quinlisk, Ballinaclough, Nenagh. By the homebred Brileigh1 Darren, he is out of Breaney Cella by Churchill George.
The overall standard of bulls was not as high as at earlier sales. Sale average €1778 with a 73% clearance.
