Recently a delegation of Russian farmers, importers and officials visited to see at first hand the quality of Irish pedigree cattle in particular Hereford, Angus and Dairy cattle. Hosted by Bord Bia the group also met with exporters and veterinary officials of the DOA. The group were most impressed with the Herefords viewed at the Ballyaville herd of Joe & Ivor Deverell adjacent to Tullamore where the group later met with the Irish Pedigree Cattle Breeders Council. The indications are that this may well translate into a very positive market for Irish Herefords.
