Dundalk Agricultural Show

The Dundalk Agricultural Show 2025 was held on June 8th. Among the many highlights, the pedigree Hereford classes stood out, showcasing some of the finest cattle.

In the "Best Pedigree Hereford Cow/Heifer born prior to 1 July 2024" category, Michael Bird achieved remarkable success. Winning with his cow, APPEL 1 SKYGAZER, and secured second place with another, APPEL 1 MOLLY 15. Aine Sullivan also impressed the judges, earning third place with her heifer, SHILOH-FARM JOY PH.

The “Best Pedigree Hereford Bull/Heifer born on or after 1st July 2024”. This was won by Eamonn and John McKiernan with KNOCKMOUNTAGH ARISTOCRAT. Second place was won by Kieran McConnell ELLIDA VICTOR HH, followed by third with Michael Bird with DUNLEVER LEE PP.

The Hereford Champion was by KNOCKMOUNTAGH ARISTOCRAT with their July 2024 bull, owned and bred by Eamonn and John McKiernan.

Reserved Champion on the day was APPEL 1 SKYGAZER,this August 2020 cow,owned by Michael Bird.
