National Hereford Calf Show 2025 – Classes

Class 1: Heifer calf born on or between 10th September & 9th November 2024.

Class 2: Heifer calf born on or between 10th November 2024 & 9th January 2025.

Class 3: Heifer calf born on or between 10th January & 28th February 2025.

Class 4: Heifer calf born on or between 1st March & 30th April 2025.

Class 5: Heifer calf of the future born from 1st May 2025 onwards.

Senior Female Champion – Class 1 & 2.

Junior Female Champion – Classes 3, 4 & 5.

Overall Female Champion.

Class 6: Commercial Hereford sired calf, male or female not weighing over 450kg on the day of show and have been bred by the exhibitor.

Class 7: Dairy Beef Index Class consisting of the Highest DBI merit Genotyped bulls entered in the show. Automatic entry.

Class 8: Bull calf born on or between 10th September & 9th November 2024.

Class 9: Bull calf born on or between 10th November 2024 & 9th January 2025.

Class 10: Bull calf born on or between 10th January & 28th February 2025.

Class 11: Bull calf born on or between 1st March & 30th April 2025.

Class 12: Bull calf of the future born from 1st May 2025 onwards.

Senior Male Champion – Classes 8 & 9.

Junior Male Champion – Classes 10, 11, & 12.

Overall Male Champion.

Rules:

Entries close on Friday 17th October at 5 pm

All animals entered must be Pedigree Registered with the Irish Hereford Breed Society.

All animals entered will be weighed on the morning of the show; Pedigree heifers inexcess of 1.4kg/day + 40 kg birth weight and bulls in excess of 1.6 kg/day + 45kg birth weight are not eligible for showing on the day

Commercial calves over 450kgs on the day are not eligible for showing and must have HE or HEX on their Card
